Katie is an equities sales-trader for a global investment bank. She founded FinanceInterns as a blog in 2010 aimed simply at helping other aspiring young people with their career choices, by sharing her experience of winning a place on the graduate programme of Credit Suisse, where she worked in algorithmic trading. From Credit Suisse she was headhunted by Nomura's equities division. FinanceInterns is now a company with a team of writers, training professionals and a global audience. FinanceInterns' advice, mentoring and recruitment platform recently welcomed Oliver Rothschild to the Management Board as Chairman and has members and clients from countries including the US, India, China, the UAE and the UK. We have grown into an internationally recognised brand in a short period of time and are regarded as an authoritative voice on careers by media outlets including the BBC, The Telegraph, The Independent, and quoted globally in publications ranging from The Voice of Russia to Ghana Today. As Director, Katie works with the team to devise and continually develop the strategy for FinanceInterns, manages the company's growing staff, mentors young people and guest lectures at FinanceInterns events.
